Dr hab. Adam Mrozowicki, assoc. prof., University of Wrocław, Head of the Department of the Sociology of Work and Economic Sociology at the Institute of Sociology, University of Wroclaw since October 2017, PhD in social sciences in 2009 (Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium), a habilitation degree in social sciences in 2016 (University of Wroclaw, Poland).

His research interests include the sociology of work, economic sociology, comparative industrial relations. His recent research concerned precarity and essential workers’ coping strategies with interlinked crises. He was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University in March-August 2024.

His research has been published in various academic journals, including Sociology, Work, Employment and Society, Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research, British Journal of Sociology, Economic and Industrial Democracy, Employee Relations, European Review, International Labour Review.

He authored Coping with Social Change. Life Strategies of Workers in Poland’s New Capitalism (Leuven UP, 2011) and Working Poles in the Times of Covid-19 (Scholar, 2023, in Polish) and edited several volumes, including Realist Biography and European Policy: an Innovative Approach to European Policy Studies (Leuven UP, 2013).

He is also a member of the editorial boards of the Sociological Review (Przegląd Socjologiczny) and Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research; member international advisory panel of the European Journal of Industrial relations.
