The workshop of the ETUI project, coordinated by Magdalena Bernaciak (ETUI) and Marta Kahancova (CELSI, was held in Bratislava, 30-31 March, 2016.

Martin Kahanec has been appointed as the Chair of the Czech Government's Council for Research, Development and Innovations's Expert Panel for Social Sciences.
The mission of the Expert Panel is to verify and evaluate the output of research organizations in the Czech Republic, with the main objective of identifying the most significant research results attaining the highest quality in the respective research area.

Martin Kahanec and CELSI’s research fellow Aurora Trif speak at the European Commission's “Review of Employment and Social Developments in Europe in 2015“ in Brussels on 21 January 2016.
Kahanec joined the panel on skills development and the role of mobility and migration and Aurora Trif commented on the role of social dialogue.

CELSI co-organized Conference on Fiscal Policy Tools and Labor Markets during the Great Recession in Bratislava
CELSI coorganized with the Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn (IZA), Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic (IFP) and Council for Budget Responsibility (CBR) a conference on "Fiscal Policy Tools and Labor Markets during the Great Recession". The conference took place on 26th-27th October 2015 in Bratislava.
