Marta Kahancova delivers a speech at the annual conference of the Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftliches Institut (WSI)

The theme of the two-day conference (27.-28.9.2011) is the Stabilisation of the Extension System of Collective Agreements in Germany. Invited experts from several European countries summarize the national practice of extension mechanisms, thereby contributing with a variety of experiences to the German debate between researchers, policy makers, and social partners.

With Martin Kahanec as a consortium co-leader, <a href="http://www.ceu.hu">Central European University</a>, <a href="http://www.iza.org"> Institute for the Study of Labor </a>, Bonn, <a href="http://www.case.com.pl"> CASE </a>, Warsaw, and <a href="http://www2.lse.ac.uk/home.aspx"> London School of Economics </a> are to advise the European Commission on the costs and benefits of, and the available policy options for, labor mobility between the EU and the Eastern Partnership Partner Countries.

CELSI joins BARSORI project funded by the European Commission

CELSI takes part in the new project named Bargaining for social rights: reducing precariousness and labour market segmentation through collective bargaining and social dialogue. The project will study experiences in these EU countries: Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain and the UK.
