The conference was attended by representatives of the European Pulic Sector Unions (EPSU), European trade union representatives, as well as national level trade union representatives from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, France, Germany and, Slovakia. Even though the specific challanges faced in individual countries differ from each other, the participants have identified several universal points.

The conference participants agreed that the availability of the hard data on wages and living conditions in the care sector empower the collective bargaining actors to pursue optimal policy directions.

CELSI's role within the WICARE project imcluded technical management and analysis of data. The other partners in the project were EPSU, Amsterdam Institute For Advanced Labour Studies and the WageIndicator Foundation.
