Adam Šumichrast, a leading researcher of CELSI new Labour History research area, contributed to the database of the most important labour and trade union events in Czechia (and Czechoslovakia).

Together with Czech historian Jakub Raška from the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, they selected and described the most significant collective actions and strikes in Czech and Czechoslovak history, profiles of prominent Czech trade unionists, and key statues and monuments commemorating the labour movement across the country.

This commemorative database is maintained by the International Trade Union History and Memory Network - a collaborative, international project by a group of historians and labour activists, examining the commemoration of labour and trade union history, based on the Simon Fraser University (Canada).

The database currently covers Czechia and more than 30 countries worldwide - a rich resource for anyone interested in the history of labour and trade unionism.
