„The political unrest in Ukraine: Socio-economic causes and individual responses“

be held on Friday, March 21, 2014, 14:30 – 17:00, in conference room “Galeria” (OSF building), Baštová 5, 811 03 Bratislava. The seminar will feature a keynote lecture by Dr. Ganna Vakhitova (Kyiv School of Economics and Kyiv Economics Institute).

Some of the key questions to be addressed include:

1. What factors contribute to the Russian-Ukrainian political and economic divide in Ukraine?
2. What is the role of ethnicity and language?
3. What individual responses can be expected? Exit (emigrate) or voice (protest)?
4. If it is migration, what could it imply for Slovakia?
