CELSI Co-Founder and Research Director Martin Kahanec Discussed Pension System Sustainability on Rádio Slovensko.

Martin Kahanec joined former Finance Minister Brigita Schmögnerová on Rádio Slovensko to discuss the significant losses of Slovakia's Social Insurance Agency and the sustainability of the pension system.

Kahanec analyzed the limits of Slovakia's first and second pension pillars, critiqued the politicization of the 13th pension, or compared current pension values with decent wage, which CELSI calculates in cooperation with WageIndicator Foundation.

"In my view, the second pillar is indeed necessary, but it needs to be set up in a way that its potential benefits are truly realized," noted Kahanec.
