Martin Kahanec and Renata Hall discussed the Therapolis project, an interdisciplinary scientific centre of excellence aimed at improving health and quality of life in cities, on Aktuality.sk.
Co-founder and Scientific Director of the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI), Martin Kahanec, along with Renata Hall, spoke to Aktuality.sk about the Therapolis project, an interdisciplinary scientific centre of excellence aimed at improving health and quality of life in cities.
They discussed the reasons behind the founding of Therapolis, the goal of attracting talent, and the plans to create connections between top research teams, innovators, and experts from various disciplines, countries, and sectors.
“The impact of transferring research into practice can sometimes be very tangible and can directly influence millions of people,” said Kahanec, referring to the calculation of the Living Wage (a reward for work that provides enough finances for a dignified life), which, with CELSI’s contribution, is published annually by the WageIndicator Foundation for more than 165 countries.
