In Memoriam: Sabina Avdagic

The CELSI team was deeply saddened and shocked by the sudden and unexpected loss of our highly respected colleague, Sabina Avdagic.
Sabina Avdagic was a Senior Lecturer in Politics. She joined Sussex in October 2006 as a UK Research Councils (RCUK) Academic Fellow. Previously she was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Max Planck Institute in Cologne, a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, and a research fellow at the EUI's Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. During her graduate studies she was a visiting fellow at Cornell University, and an International Policy Fellow of the Open Society Institute. She held a PhD in Political Science and an MA in International Relations from Central European University, and a BA in economics from the of University of Zagreb. Sabina organised (with Lucio Baccaro) the 'Industrial Relations and Political Economy' research network of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE).
