Raul Eamets is professor of macroeconomics at the University of Tartu, Estonia. Currently he is Head of the Institute of Economics and Chairman of the Council of EuroCollege at the University of Tartu. He is also director of the PhD Programme at the faculty of Economics. In 2004-2009 he is a member of the Board of the Bank of Estonia. He has been short-term research visitor at Birkbeck College (London), IZA, CERGE-EI (Prague) and CLS (Aarhus). He received his PhD in economics from Tartu University in 2001, half of his PhD time he spent in Aarhus University. His main interests are in the area of labour market flexibility issues like labour market flows, firm entry and exit, educational economics, flexicurity, industrial relations, employment protection and labour policy issues. His publications include articles in Post-communist Studies, European Journal of Industrial Relations, Transfer and Baltic Journal of Economics.
