CELSI researcher Monika Martišková discussed this topic on Thursday Apil 10, during the CEETalks webinar organized by Clean Air Task Force and Škoda Auto University.
In addition to Monika Martišková (CELSI) and Charles University, the discussion also featured Michal Hrubý from Škoda Auto University, Ján Michal from Czechinvest, Zdeněk Petzl from the Automotive Industry Association (AutoSAP), Tamara Lagurashvili from the Clean Air Task Force, and Maja Pozvek from the Clean Air Task Force.
During the discussion, Monika emphasized that reskilling and upskilling policies in Czechia and Slovakia are not providing support to the most vulnerable who are exposed to labour market changes. Similarly, cooperation among actors and information sharing regarding companies' transition plans are insufficient, which impacts workers' prospects in the automotive industry.
The CEETalks webinar series offers comprehensive insights into the economic and energy transitions in Central and Eastern Europe, providing valuable knowledge and actionable recommendations.
