On Tuesday, March 18, CELSI Scientific Director Martin Kahanec took part in an online discussion titled “European Economy in Trump’s World”, organised by EuroPolicy civil association, EURACTIV Slovakia, and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Bratislava.

The discussion looked at how the EU can adjust its economic strategies to respond to changing U.S. policies under Trump, and also raised the important question: who will benefit from these changes -and who might be left behind?

Martin Kahanec discussed the topic with Michal Wiezik, Member of the European Parliament (Renew Europe / PS), Alžběta Rücklová, Head of the Americas Unit at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, and Knut Pankin, Representative of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Washington Office. The discussion was moderated by EURACTIV Slovakia editor Lucia Lauková.
