On the eve of International Women’s Day, Marta Kahancová presented a comparative study at the press conference in Zagreb, Croatia.
The study, authored by CELSI researchers Barbora Holubová and Kristína Gotthardová and conducted in cooperation with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Croatia, compares research on workplace sexual harassment in Croatia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, and Slovakia,.
As a solution, the study proposes raising awareness, incorporating protections into collective agreements, and insisting on a zero-tolerance policy against workplace harassment.
A day later, Marta Kahancová continued the topic at the Women's Weekend festival in Rijeka (Croatia) in a panel discussion hosted by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Zagreb.
Together with Nebojsa Paunovic (Croatian Ombudswoman for Gender Equality) and Dijana Šobota (Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia) they participated in a panel discussion titled “When the boundary is not clear: A joke, a compliment or sexual harassment?”, moderated by Sonja Schirmbeck (Director of FES for Croatia & Slovenia).
