Marta Kahancová was invited to European Commission meeting about collective agreement coverage in Central and Eastern European countries

On Wednesday October 2, in Brussels, CELSI Executive Director Marta Kahancová will be presenting at the European Commission Expert Group on the transposition of the Minimal Wage Directive, with the focus on promoting collective bargaining in Central and Eastern European countries.
Rather than presenting facts per country, the contribution should be a deep look in understanding why bargaining is low. “I think that before actual tools to improve bargaining, every country's Ministry of Labour needs to critically assess the issues that are included in the presentation, and only then design particular tools,” explained Marta Kahancová her approach.
