Research on collective bargaining agreement coverage in the Care, Central Public Administration, and Waste Collection sectors is the primary focus of researchers from the CEECAW project consortium, gathered on September 4, at the Fieldwork Seminar in Belgrade.

Participating in the discussions on the state and development of collective bargaining in Central and Eastern European countries were four CELSI researchers - Barbora Holubová, Monika Martišková, Simona Brunnerová, and Pavol Bors.

Coordinated by The Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) from Poland, the project aims to support trade unions, both at the sectoral and national levels, in achieving the goals outlined in Article 4 of the Adequate Minimum Wage Directive relating to collective bargaining. Specifically, the goal is to increase the number of workers covered by collective bargaining agreements to at least 80% of the labor force.

Following the development of national reports, comparative studies, and policy papers in the care, waste management, and central public administration sectors, the project will later proceed with five National Collective Bargaining Boost Workshops and culminate in a Roundtable in Brussels, enabling a broad stakeholder debate that can inspire public authorities.
