The Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) based in Bratislava, Slovakia, fosters multidisciplinary research about labour markets and institutions, work, employment and organizations, and ethnicity and migration in the economic, social, and political life of modern societies. We are part of the international research team of the worldwide WageIndicator network. For the tasks within the WageIndicator project, we are looking for:

DATA ANALYST (full-time)
*Your duties*
- data management for the WageIndicator network worldwide, in particular:
- designing, maintaining and innovating a large-scale web-based survey (similar to a labor force survey)
- data processing – preparation of datasets based on the survey
- data analysis – applied research using the above dataset
- support to clients/researchers worldwide regarding datasets and survey questionnaires
- communication with clients/researchers worldwide regarding datasets and survey questionnaires
- research assistance in international research projects (in cooperation with the EC, ILO, World Bank and similar)
- analytical support for press releases, media appearances and research reports
*Your profile*
- university degree (Master’s or higher) in economics/econometrics, social sciences, or mathematics (also if expected by September 1, 2013)
- experienced user of statistical software (SPSS, STATA. E-Views or R)/ willingness to learn and master SPSS and STATA
- computer literacy; MS Excel/XML in particular, previous experience with programming is an asset
- good knowledge of English (English is the working language of CELSI)
- interest in labour market issues, and project-based research in the field of labour and labour markets
- reliability, flexibility, creativity
- motivation to work in a small but dynamically growing research institute
- motivation to interact with clients/researchers worldwide on a daily basis
*What we offer* We are a progressive, highly motivated team of researchers and data analysts. We offer a stimulating research environment with excellent contacts in our international research networks. The place of employment is Bratislava, Slovakia. The initial employment contract will be for one year. An extension is intended. The open position is also suitable for graduates without work experience, but possessing quantitative analytical skills and interest in labor issues. Starting date is negotiable, but no later than October 2013.
TECHNICAL CONTENT MANAGER (full-time)

- technical content management
- general support to teams and clients worldwide regarding web content management
- communication with clients worldwide regarding web content management
- support for research projects and public relations
*Your profile*
- university degree (Master’s or higher) in mathematics, informatics, economics or similar technically oriented discipline (also if expected by September 1, 2013)
- computer literacy; previous experience with programming and web content management
- good knowledge of English (English is the working language of CELSI)
- interest in labour market issues
- reliability, flexibility, creativity
- motivation to work in a small but dynamically growing research institute
- motivation to interact with clients/researchers worldwide on a daily basis

MEDIA OFFICER (student or freelancer, part time)
*Your duties*
- Preparing and working on media strategy for Slovakia /Czech Republic, other CEE countries, and international media
- Writing press releases in Slovak (Czech) and English language
- Planning and organizing press conferences
- Building up relationships with journalists
- Following the discussion, policies and statistics about the labour market in Slovakia and other CEE countries
- Following the discussion papers and research reports published by CELSI
- Following the research conducted by the CELSI affiliates
- Communicate with researchers and data analysts of CELSI
*Your profile*
- University student or graduate (with bachelor degree or higher) in economics, social science, journalism or related
- Excellent writing skills in Slovak (Czech) and English
- Interested in writing and PR management (experience in writing press releases is an asset)
- Interested in the labour market and labour research
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliability, flexibility, creativity
- Motivation to work in a dynamically growing research institute
- Motivation to interact with your colleagues through internet
