The armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

This is a historical moment of gravest consequences. We mourn every lost life, we are deeply saddened by every bullet shot, every house destroyed, every school bombed.

We are particularly concerned about fellow academics and researchers at Ukrainian universities, institutes, and think-tanks, whose work has been interrupted.

In the name of humanity and the values that transcend any divisions between people, we strongly condemn this war and we call on President Putin to bring his troops back to Russia now!

We support the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian nation by providing and organizing help to fleeing Ukrainian families.
