Academia Europaea Appoints CELSI's co-Founder and Director Kahanec Chair of Its Economics, Business and Management Sciences Section

Dr. Martin Kahanec, a co-founder and director of CELSI, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Economics, Business, and Management Sciences section of Academia Europaea as of September 1, 2021.

Academia Europaea is a European Academy of Humanities, Letters, and Sciences. Its members are scientists and scholars who collectively aim to promote learning, education, and research. It was founded in 1988, presently counting more than 5800 members which include leading experts from the physical sciences and technology, biological sciences and medicine, mathematics, the letters and humanities, social and cognitive sciences, economics, and the law.

"I am humbled and honored to be appointed chair of the Economics, Business, and Management Sciences section of the Academia, boasting 150 eminent scholars and experts in their respective fields," commented Kahanec. "I will be looking forward to an inspiring collaboration with section Members, building on the successful past activities, such as the 2020 Academia Europaea COVID-19 Virtual Workshop hosted by Central European University in Vienna.
