CELSI's research director participated in a debate at the Senate of the Czech Republic on the invitation by the President of the Senate Milan Stěch. In his keynote speech at a conference "Do wages correspond to economic fundamentals in V4?“ Kahanec said that in the Visegrad Four countries, the gaps between wage and productivity grew during the crisis. To combat those differences, we shall not fight globalisation and technology advancement, but we need to improve our institutions, collective bargaining, public services and socially responsible business.
