Marta Kahancová lectured about industrial relations in Central and Eastern Europe at Cornell University on November 20, 2014.
Kahancova explained the specific developments in industrial relations in CEE, addressed the challenges that diversity across European member states' industrial relations systems raise for the European social model, and highlighted the main trends in research on CEE labour markets. Besides an actor-oriented perspective on what CEE trade unions do, research on industrial relations has been increasingly focusing on the consequences of labour market dualization, precarious work, and public sector austerity.
