JUSTMIG: Sustainable and socially just transnational sectoral labour markets for temporary migrants

JUSTMIG transnational workshop just labour market for temporary migrants took place in Bratislava

Nov. 15, 2024

What are the biggest challenges of a socially just labour market for temporary migrants?

That was the main subject of the JUSTMIG transnational workshop, organized by CELSI in Bratislava on November 15.

After a similar workshop held in Tallinn, Estonia, at the end of October, this time the JUSTMIG consortium researchers from CELSI, De Burcht Foundation, and the University of Belgrade (Serbia) teamed up to explore possibilities for sustainable and socially just transnational sectoral labour markets for temporary migrants.

The workshop began with presentations of project findings based on the national reports and also featured two mutual learning sessions, exploring stakeholders' perspectives and providing insights into their views, challenges, and preferences.

Stakeholders also participated in collaborative problem-solving, discussing actionable strategies and opportunities to address the identified challenges.

The workshop brought high-profile participants, intense engagement, enriching discussions, and very informative debates, some of which will inform our ongoing research.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this workshop a success.
