IncreMe(n)tal: Increasing Metalworkers’ representatives’ Awareness and Skills on Mental Health Protection & Promotion in the Workplace
CELSI organised another training for Slovak trade unionists on mental health protection
July 8, 2025
CELSI organised another training for Slovak trade unionists on mental health protection and the prevention of psychosocial risks — this time with a focus on automation and digitalisation.
On Friday, June 20, trade unionists gathered once again at the headquarters of OZ KOVO for a training session organised by the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI).
Following the first seminar, which explored the theoretical and regulatory framework for protecting employees' mental health, the second session focused on the impact of workplace automation and digitalisation on workers' psychological well-being.
The training addressed key factors shaping employee well-being in the so-called digital workplace — including the use of advanced technologies for performance monitoring, artificial intelligence, algorithms, and machine learning.
The training was led by occupational health and safety researcher Miroslava Kordošová (Institute for Labour and Family Research) and legal expert Daniela Podmajerská (OZ KOVO).
This educational event was part of the IncreMe(n)tal project, which addresses mental health in the metalworking industry across seven countries: Belgium, Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, and Italy.
The project is funded by the European Commission and implemented by CELSI in collaboration with the Slovak trade union OZ KOVO.
