EGRUiEN: Encouraging a digital and Green transition through Revitalized and Inclusive Union-Employer Negotiations
Successful Kick-off Meeting of the New Horizon Project EGRUiEN in Jyväskylä, Finland
March 17, 2025
On March 3 and 4, the University of Jyväskylä hosted a successful kick-off meeting of the new four-year research project, funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
This Horizon project focuses on encouraging a digital and green transition through revitalized and inclusive union-employer negotiations.
It aims to answer the question of how best to ensure a just green and digital transition through social dialogue institutions and practices, while protecting, representing, and including precarious and non-standard workers, and preventing workers currently in primary labour market jobs from falling into precarity.
The project partners met at the University of Jyväskylä to discuss the aims and deliverables, as well as the approach they will work on during the project. Methodology and data collection for background reports were also discussed.
CELSI was represented by Monika Martišková and Jakub Barszcz, who will be responsible for the identification of the main intervention areas and jointly building strategies for addressing challenges faced by EU-level social partners in the automotive and energy sectors, as well as in platform work and the care sector.
The meeting took place in a very pleasant and constructive atmosphere - it was a great pleasure for all researchers to finally meet in person! Thank you all for your valuable insights, and we are very much looking forward to implementing this important project together with you!
