Rebuilding Ukraine: CELSI's Insights and Actions

What is the position of Ukrainian migrants in the EU labour market? How is the Ukrainian labour market impacted by the war, and how can social dialogue contribute to the post-war reconstruction of the country? CELSI is intensively working on this issue in two different projects.
In the first project, CELSI provided expertise to International Labour Organization and contributed to the updated Green Paper on strengthening Ukrainian social dialogue. As a result of this cooperation, our researcher Monika Martišková presented our work at the roundtable on "Social dialogue as a vehicle for labour legislation reform and recovery process in Ukraine," organized on May 29 in Kyiv and online.
Moreover, we keep exploring the position of Ukrainian migrants in the European labour markets. Last week, our researchers Olena Fedyuk and Serhii Shokha engaged with Ukrainian stakeholders, primarily from academia, during the Ukrainian national workshop of the JUSTMIG project.
The workshop focused on discussing the main results already achieved within the project—the background report, as well as an in-depth discussion on migration topics: the integration of people with temporary protection into EU markets, issues of early labor migration from Ukraine before 2022, and the key problems and challenges of labor migration within Ukraine today.
