On February 1st, 2022, CELSI organised an expert webinar titled “Labour Markets in Flux: Migrant Workers Integration and the Role of Institutions in Central Eastern Europe”.
After the presentation of comparative findings and results of the BARMIG project (6 countries, 5 sectors), invited experts provided valuable insights on social partners and institutions’ role in labour market integration of migrant workers. Experts covered the following topics: the evolution of Norwegian labour market institutions, the role of civil activism in addressing labour exploitation of migrant workers, programme of the Slovenian Employment Service for third-country nationals, the need for comprehensive policy-level regulation, and European trade union responses to migrant workers presence in a historical perspective.
