EQUAL PAY FOR WORK OF EQUAL VALUE

CELSI's researchers Barbora Holubová and Jakub Kostolný participated in the London workshop on the gender pay gap (GPG) in public services and trade unions´ strategies on how to close it. One of the cases presented was the Swedish Municipal Workers’ Union bargaining for higher wages of the welfare workers, resulting in the GPG decrease. They campaigned the pay increase by comparing for the value of care in fields dominated by women with those dominated by men. Find more on the project at https://celsi.sk/en/projects/detail/134/
