Tibor T. Meszmann on 🇭🇺 Mérce podcast: Guest workers, precarious employment, and the future of Central European industry

In a podcast of Mérce CELSI Researcher Tibor T. Meszmann discussed the precarious employment conditions of migrant workers in Central Europe.

Over the last decade, so-called 'guest worker' programmes have become a reality across Eastern EU member states, sparking controversy - yet with little political effort to find socially integrative solutions.

In a podcast of Mérce, 🇭🇺 Hungary's first independent, reader-funded news portal, CELSI Senior Researcher Tibor T. Meszmann discussed the labour market status and precarious employment conditions of migrant workers in Central Europe.

He reflected especially on the findings of the recently published CELSI Discussion Paper "Expansion of Flexibility and Its Limits: The Rise and Retreat of Serbian Temporary Workers in Slovak Automotives", co-written with Dragan Aleksić, Mihail Arandarenko, and Ines Chrťan.
