A recent article in TREND highlights leading women in science who are shaping research, innovation, and collaboration across sectors.

The article features outstanding women in Slovak science and innovation: Veronika Trokanová (CVTI SR), Katarína Gajdošová (Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava), and Darina Štyriaková (Ekolive), each offering perspectives on research careers, collaboration, and the importance of inclusive scientific environments.

Among them is CELSI Managing Director Marta Kahancová, who reflects on the importance of curiosity, collaboration, and international networking in building a successful research career.

Drawing on CELSI’s experience, she highlights how major projects, including those funded by Horizon Europe, often emerge from small-scale cooperation and shared ideas that gradually evolve into international research consortia.
