A recent interview published in the weekly magazine TREND, written by Peter Scherhaufer, features Robert Galik, Director General of the Centre for Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic (CVTI SR), discussing the role of the Horizon Europe programme in strengthening the Slovak research and innovation ecosystem.

In the interview, Galik highlights the importance of connecting research with practice, developing strong international projects, and engaging Slovak institutions in European research networks.

Among the successful Slovak participants in Horizon Europe, he also mentions CELSI:

“Slovakia has many successful participants in Horizon Europe. For example, LignoSilva – the Centre of Excellence in Zvolen, the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies, the CELSI institute, FunGlass at Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, as well as researchers from the University of Žilina or the Slovak University of Technology, among others.”

This recognition comes at a time when CELSI continues to expand its participation in Horizon Europe.

Following recent successes in highly competitive calls, CELSI is currently involved in several international research consortia, including INDEMTRUST and WUNDERWORK, alongside TransEuroWorkS, Egruien, and INTEGRATE-DIALOGUE.

Together, these collaborations further strengthen CELSI’s contribution to cutting-edge, policy-relevant research on labour markets, inequality, and the future of work in Europe.
