Radio Slovakia: Martin Kahanec assessed the government’s amendment to the Higher Education Act

Journalist Denisa Žilová invited former dean of European University in Vienna and Scientific Director of CELSI Professor Martin Kahanec to comment on the Higher Education Act for the Rádiožurnál news program on Radio Slovakia.

The Slovak Ministry of Education has proposed an amendment to the Higher Education Act that would introduce the mandatory expulsion of unsuccessful students after two failed attempts to pass a course. If a student does not pass a subject even on the second attempt, the university must expel them. This rule would also apply to elective courses.

Journalist Denisa Žilová invited former dean of School of Public Policy at Central European University in Vienna and Scientific Director of the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) — Professor Martin Kahanec — to comment on this issue for the Rádiožurnál news program on Radio Slovakia.
