Alina Popescu is a Professor of International Business in the Department of International Business & Economics at Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania) and an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Management & Organization at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Within the BARMETAL project, she serves as the Project Director for Romania, where her responsibilities include coordinating, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting both qualitative primary and secondary data on the investigated issues of the labour market. She is also responsible for reporting on the research activities conducted in Romania.
