POSTING.STAT 2.0: Increasing the level of empirical evidence through the collection and analysis of national administrative data
Posting of Workers to and from Slovakia – Presentation of Research Findings and Panel Discussion
March 10, 2026
📅 26 March 2026 | 🕙 10:00 – 12:00 | online
The Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) warmly invites you to a national webinar dedicated to the posting of workers to and from Slovakia.
Posting of workers is a specific form of labour mobility within the European Union that falls under the freedom to provide services enshrined in the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
Under this arrangement, an employer established in one member state temporarily sends its employees to perform work in another member state, while the workers remain employed in their home country.
Slovakia is also among the notable sending countries. In 2023, it ranked 11th among EU member states in the number of posted workers.
Posting is particularly significant in construction and industry, while the road freight transport sector is also strongly represented, reflecting the high level of multi-country work activity typical for this sector.
The webinar will open with a presentation of the main findings from the national report of the POSTING.STAT 2.0 project, presented by CELSI researcher Nina Holičková.
This will be followed by a presentation by Lucia Mýtna Kureková (Institute of Forecasting, CSPV SAV), who will introduce selected findings from the INFO-POW project, which examines the accessibility of information on posting rules and the challenges faced by posting companies, particularly in the construction sector.
The presentations will be followed by an expert panel discussion with representatives of institutions, employers, and trade unions on the opportunities and challenges related to posting of workers, the availability of information and data, as well as questions related to regulation and enforcement of the rules. The names of the panelists will be announced soon.
The webinar builds on research conducted within the POSTING.STAT 2.0 project, which brings together research institutions from major sending and receiving EU member states and strengthens empirical knowledge on posting of workers in the European Union through the analysis of national administrative data.
