Our project “EcoMobility Transition: Strengthening a Just Transition in the Automotive Industry” supports regions in Central and Eastern Europe where the automotive industry is a key employer. At the same time, we all need to move towards cleaner, more sustainable ways of getting around.

Our project brings these two dimensions together:

✅ Supporting a shift to greener car production

✅ Helping communities embrace sustainable mobility options

✅ Ensuring workers and citizens are part of the change

Here’s what we’re doing:

➡️ Listening and learning – gathering insights from the ground through research, interviews, and discussions.

➡️ Building knowledge and skills – creating spaces where local actors can exchange ideas and learn from each other.

➡️ Creating practical tools – including an online toolkit with self-assessments, good practices, strategic guidance, and methods for meaningful engagement.

➡️  Sharing results – making all findings public and presenting them at a final conference so other regions across Europe can benefit.

We call this the Just Mobility Transition – because climate action and social fairness must go hand in hand.
