Climate change, decarbonisation, and the future of work: Monika Martišková at Masaryk University in Brno

On 21 April 2026, CELSI researcher Monika Martišková delivered a guest lecture at the Department of Public Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University in Brno, invited by CELSI researcher and assistant professor there Martin Guzi.

The lecture was part of a course on labour economics and policy. Martišková explored the links between climate change and its impacts on workers and working conditions, and how decarbonisation policies are reshaping industries and influencing labour demand.

Drawing on the CELSI DEEPLAB model, she highlighted that labour market disruptions from the green transition need not be severe - provided the transition is well managed and supported by appropriate policies.
