This is the first newsletter of the CEECAW project, which aims to support trade unions in expanding collective bargaining agreement coverage and improving working conditions in Central and Eastern Europe.

The newsletter provides a comprehensive overview of the project's goals, ongoing fieldwork, and key labour challenges in the region.

The edition includes:

  • Introduction to the CEECAW Project: A summary of objectives, focusing on enhancing collective bargaining.
  • Fieldwork Seminar in Belgrade: Highlights from discussions on labour shortages, wages, and working conditions.
  • State of Collective Bargaining in Central and Eastern Europe: Key insights into the current state of social dialogue and collective bargaining practices in the region.

  • Next Steps: Plans for comparative studies and national seminars to support trade unions and collective bargaining.
