CELSI researcher Adam Šumichrast presented a joint study ´Institutional constraints to social dialogue in work integration of persons with disabilities: Slovakia and Norway compared´ at the Cancer, Work & Employment conference in Paris, which builds on our earlier project on work integration of people with disabilities.

The paper shows the key differences in where the role of social partners and social dialogue lies across seemingly different country-specific conditions in Norway and Slovakia. The study identifies the sources of the above differences. The key argument is that even in differing welfare state conditions, approach to persons with disabilities (PwD) work (re)integration, and industrial relations traditions, an opportunity for social dialogue to facilitate work integration of PwD emerges.
