Dr. Monica Roman, is professor at the Department of Statistics and Econometrics from Bucharest University of Economics since 2007. She teaches Business Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Research Methods; she has also worked at Research Institute for the Quality of Life and since 2011 is affiliated as research fellow at Institute for the Study of Labor, IZA. Her research interests are economics of international migration, labor and demographic economics, regional studies and transition economies, public policy evaluation. Monica has conducted research on migration and labor issues financed by Romanian Government, being the director of research grant Labour migration in Romania and its influence on economic growth from 2008 to 2011. She has published articles on migration issues in journals such are Panoeconomicus, Journal of Identity and Migration Studies, Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies, Theoretical and Applied Economics.
